This role is responsible for the operation of their allocated machine, ensuring the quality of the product is at the required standard and working within the Company’s accredited standards and health and safety requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • show a good progression in both speed and ability on each machine throughout your training program.
  • display good team working habits, willingness to learn, enthusiastic and with good attitude.
  • attend all training sessions through good timekeeping and attendance.
  • pack product efficiently while keeping pace with the machine.
  • ensure that the correct number of trays are packed per carton/liner as per packing specifications.
  • ensure product is fit for purpose and packed as per customer specifications. Check product for any incorrectly formed or sub-standard trays and report immediately.
  • ensure each carton/liner label is clearly stamped with the MO’s information, date, and the label is correctly applied to the carton.
  • adhere PPI and dress code.
  • attend refresher training as and when required.
  • understand the different types of materials used and ensure that skeletal waste is segregated correctly.
  • carry out quality checks as directed e.g. metal detection
  • report any defects or problems with the machinery or premises to the Shift Manager / Senior Management.
  • maintain a safe and clean work area taking account of hygiene and housekeeping standards ensuring the factory and production areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • report any near misses, accidents, incidents as set out in the company procedure
  • not to interfere with, misuse or willfully damage any property belonging to the company or provided to the employee.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment is maintained.
  • Abide by the company’s environmental and quality management procedures.
  • Carry out any reasonable duties we request that are within your abilities, irrespective of grade/skill level.

  • Excellent communication Skills.
  • Excellent attention of filling out and looking at paperwork
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of Manufacturing industry
