Working For Weyland Europe
It’s not just a job, it’s a career opportunity!
Welcome to the team and the start of your career with us at Weyland Europe.
We are passionate about providing our employees with the opportunities to develop themselves and grow within our company. But don’t just take our word for it, read the below employee testimonies.
With over a decade of hands-on expertise at Weyland Europe, I have built a career rooted in operational excellence and team leadership.
Joining the company in May 2015 as a Production Operator, I developed a deep baseline understanding of high-volume manufacturing, lean methodologies, and stringent quality standards.
Recognising my capacity for leadership, Weyland Europe promoted me to Deputy Shift Manager in November 2020, and later to Thermoforming Shift Manager in February 2023. In my current role, I oversee daily shift operations, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor a high-performing team while upholding the highest benchmarks for safety and quality.
My operational experience is backed by formal leadership training, including the Frontline Leader Impact programme from the Centre for Creative Leadership (2021).
Ieva Lipsiene - Shift Manager, Arklow
“I began my career at WE in 2018 as a Machine Operator with very basic English skills and no prior knowledge of thermoforming. Driven by a strong desire to learn and improve, I consistently pushed myself to take on more responsibility. Within two years, I was promoted to Team Coordinator, where I supported the Shift Manager in running daily operations, with a particular focus on resolving quality issues.
“Through this role, I developed a strong interest in quality management, which led me to apply for the Quality & EHS Administrator position in 2022. In this role, I gained experience in Environmental, Health & Safety and became familiar with BRCGS and ISO 9001 & 14001 standards.
“Nearly four years later, I now work as a Quality & EHS Officer. My progression from Machine Operator to Team Coordinator and into Quality & EHS has given me a strong understanding of the thermoforming process, production environments, and team dynamics.”
Kristine Baguska - Quality & EHS Officer
“My career began in 2009 as a Machine Operator, where I developed a strong foundation in manufacturing processes and machine operation. After a few years, I progressed into the role of Assistant Setter, supporting machine setup, production efficiency, and troubleshooting.
“Through consistent performance and hands-on expertise, I was promoted to Lead Setter, taking responsibility for overseeing setups, supporting operators, and maintaining production standards. A few years later, I advanced into management as a Deputy Shift Manager, gaining leadership experience in team supervision, shift performance, and operational control.
“After just over a year in that role, I was promoted to Shift Manager, a position I held for a few years. In this role, I was responsible for full shift operations, people management, production targets, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
“At the end of 2024, I took the next step in my career by moving into the role of Extrusion Manager, where I now oversee extrusion operations, performance, and strategic improvements within the department.”
Adyrlei Junior - Extrusion Manager
“I joined the company in 2016 Jun as a Level 1 Operator, starting from an entry-level position with limited experience. Within 6-7 months, I progressed to Level 3 Operator, which was my first step forward and a strong motivation to continue developing.
“Shortly after, I applied for a Tool Setter position and was successful. In that role, I continued to grow quickly and, within approximately two years, progressed to a Head Tool Setter position. I then spent around four years in that role, gaining solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience.
“After that, I applied for a Deputy Manager position. I was given the opportunity and spent around two years developing my management and leadership skills in that role. When the opportunity arose to progress further, I applied for Shift Manager and successfully secured the position.
“Throughout my journey, I have gained extensive experience on both the technical and management sides. The company has played a significant role in my development by investing time, resources, and training into my growth. This continuous support has allowed me to build my skills, take on new challenges, and progress within the business.
“Today, I continue to work as a Shift Manager, and the company still invests in my development, which motivates me to keep improving and delivering results”
Jovydas Baguska - Shift Manager
“I joined Weyland Europe in November 2020 as a Machine Operator Level 1. Within six months, I progressed to Level 3, which demonstrated the company’s commitment to recognising potential and supporting development.
“In September 2022, I was promoted to the office as a Talent and HR Coordinator, marking a significant career transition. To support this progression, the business invested in my professional development by funding my CIPD Level 3 qualification, after which my role progressed to Talent and HR Officer.
“Weyland Europe continues to invest in my future by supporting me through a Level 5 HR Apprenticeship. Since starting my journey with the company, my HR knowledge has grown significantly, as has my confidence in supporting the business to meet its organisational goals. I particularly enjoy working closely with managers to attract and fill open positions, helping to build strong, capable teams for the future.”
